About JK Nanosolutions

In developing countries like India 80,000 people die per day because of polluted water supply and sanitation. Around 37.7 million Indians are affected by waterborne diseases annually; 1.5 million children are estimated to die of diarrhea alone, and 73 million working days are lost due to waterborne disease each year. The resulting economic burden is estimated at $600 million a year. Our idea started with providing a cost effective rapid solution for complete treatment of waste water and textile effluent. Lakhs of poor people lost their livelihood when supreme court of India ordered the closure of textile industries (largescale, smallscale and tiny - homebased) in Tirupur , Erode and Coimbatore which is exporting to 55 countries and for domestic purpose. Initially we developed nanotechnology based treatment method to treat waste water and then followed by treatment of textile effluents collected from different locations in India. We filed for a patent of our technology followed by demonstration to relevant authorities to revoke the closure. We got many appreciation letters from industries of Tirupur and Erode.

Founder’s Message

It was a great pleasure to write the founder’s message for our first Annual Report. We are a nanotechnology based startup developing and supplying our own innovative nanotech based products for rapid, low cost waste water treatment. Our technology results in less power consumption, less reject, less space being utilized for the treatment. We use multimetallic nanoclusters for rapid treatment and also in the development of several other ecofriendly nanomaterials for waste water treatment. I am happy to congratulate our startup team which works hard and has resulted in securing one state and three national awards within a year of conception.

We have also started revenue generation with BMTC, Bengaluru being our first client followed by ISKON Temple, Wynbrands LLP. I would like to urge our team that we would be providing complete flexibility and support for successful completion of our goals for this year. I am happy to inform that a number of media houses have highlighted our works in national media. I thank our team, media for this achievement. I would also like to mention that we have secured grants from Dept. of IT and BT, Government of Karnataka, Titan and Tata Trust which were highly useful in development of our startup. We have successfully conducted trials at Bellandur Lake treating polluted lake water and are waiting for permission to undertake a project to prevent frothing. It is noteworthy to mention that the Honorable Minister Mr. Priyank Kharge has been highly encouraging and supporting our startup as part of his startup friendly programmes. Like King Alexander’s words “Fortune Favours the Bold”, let us take bold steps to be the first to implement new technologies and the rest would be history.
